Our tiniest little guy
Our little man broke his leg a few weeks ago (FHE accident). He's doing well with his cute little cast. He'll get it off next week. In the meantime he's getting around almost like he's got nothing on at all, and the family's loving doting on our favorite little cripple and signing his cast (his little cousins from MD even sent tattoos to "sign" his cast--how fun!) .

Half Marathon
Saturday Eric and I ran a half marathon together--yes, that's right, I said RAN!! I started out the year with one goal that lead to another, to another, to another and eventually lead to running a half marathon. So I had been training for this momentous event. Eric was roped into it last minute. What an amazing husband he is!! He was right by my side the whole time (something I never could have even considered doing--who just runs 13.1 miles?) He's been walking like an old man since, but the soreness will eventually wear off, and he can boast that he ran a half marathon (he's pretty proud of it too.) Here are some pictures from the superior run.

The new Train!!!
When I was younger we got to ride the little train near my Grandma and Aunt's area in Oregon. I have fun memories of that (like Jeremy falling off..hahahaha). Well, now it's my kids chance at those same kinds of memories. The city's model railroad club has been working on a train at the new big park and had an unveiling this past weekend. It's a nice long track, and we rode lots of times. So if you're ever in the area on the 3rd Sat. of the month, we'll take you over.

Last week of summer freedom
You know how firework shows end with a grand finally, well, that's how I like to end our summer vacations. In a week of whirlwind fun. With school starting Mon., we planned out all the things we didn't get to this summer that we still wanted to do for this last week of non-stop fun.

Hahaha, My big boy
Colin and Amber got into a fight, so Colin came crying to me telling me his side of the story. Then promptly after the tears were dried, he looked at me with his cute little sad Christiansen eyes and said something I would expect from a older woman, but not surprised to hear from his little mouth. "Can I have some fudge?" hahahaha, these kids.
